Ebay ratings aaaarrrrhhhh

Thanks for the replies :D As for the postage I did now the costs before bidding But was shocked at the state of the packaging. He also said it would be sent 1st class but it came 2nd class :roll: Perhaps I should have given him a neutral now looking back to save me getting stung.
But I will take on what you's have said & be more carefull the next time, so many thanks to all :D  :D

when it arrived it was a 28inch back wheel for a road bike and didnt even run true

i left negative feedback and for some reason i got banned from ebay



but atleast i got a wheel to make into a table :)

did you try to get it resolved with the seller?

leaving anything other than positive feedback is a last resort when youve exhausted other possibilities.. remember negative can go both ways.

if you didnt receive what you won then contact the seller to demand an explanation and if its not sufficient then contact ebay.

make sure though you read the auction item very carefully before commencing with any bid in future and always check the feedback history and see if you cant spot "fraudulent" feedback where people set up dummy accounts and sell to themselves to build up feedback

You did used to be able to respond in public to negative feedback.  I've had it twice, first time from some donkey who wanted £15 to post £5 worth of window but wouldn't send me his address so I could collect and more recently from some idiot, new to E-Bay who put that I had paid but not fast enough for his liking.  

Feedback seesm to be very hard won and most people pay too much attention to it.  If you see neg feedback it's best to look at the person who left it, that often tells more of the tale.
