Sump Plug size?

I'm taking delivery of a 1988 90 with a TDi300 engine this week, can anyone tell me what size socket I need to buy for the sump plug please.

19mm rings a bell...

But i cant remember if you can get a socket in there..

I think it might need to be a ring spanner.

So, a really stupid question, will the fixings on this Landy be metric or imperial?

Yep you are probably right as it is a 1988 car with a later TDi 300 engine, now where did I put all those old imperial spanners when I bought my Suzuki  :D  :D  :D
