Bush Tucker Man:
Been browsing around and found a couple of sites that look to feature (mainly) proper aeroplanes, not all jets, some are propellor driven

www.warbirdalley.com
www.realaero.com

Now this one DOES look interesting :D
www.spitfireaircraftco.com

It's a bit more complex than an Airfix version :D , but undoubtedly more fun.

And for how to paint the engine cowling when you've built it;
www.bombergirl.com

Bush Tucker Man:
The cost of building your very own Spitfire; £190,000 approx.
No engine, air-screw or instruments included.

Alternatively restore one;

wifey:
bit out of my price range I'm afraid :cry:
mind you, the poster might be a present from Santa... :P

Bush Tucker Man:
It'd be a bit more complex building a Spitifire instead of a ToyLander, I'd need a bigger garage :D

However. I do know someone with a garage that is big enough

Still my back garden opens onto a level field that's about 600yards long - my own personal runway :D  :D

No, it'd have to be a 'very lucky on a Saturday night' type of toy

Hubs:

Unfortunately, engine, propeller and instruments would probably double that cost and then there is airworthiness.  But it would be fun.

Hope there aren't any big trees at the end otherwise you might need a bigger field  :wink:
