Don't forget that if your spraying bare aluminium it will need to apply an etch primer first or paint won't stay on very long.

Yoshi:
Watching this thread as my disco needs a spray soon and i was going to do it using the cans from halfrauds.

So now i know not to touch that, i have an electric spray gun, what would i need to do to the paint in order to spray it?

The body work has been sanded down and flatted already, but its been used quite a bit since then so whats best to clean it with to get the grease out?

Thrasher:
I blame my grandad. I can't read the title of this without cracking up

Ralph Hardwick:
A few people who claim to be in the know are recommending a HVLP spray system which negates the need for a compressor and is claimed to be easier to use and gives a good finish.

Anyone out there have any experience of this kind of kit?

Complete kits can be bought for less than £100 - £150.

Any comments?

Range Rover Blues:
If you don't care about the quality of the finish then roller it with NATO paint.
