Aerosol respray
electricbluebadger:
30 cans of plasticote including the roof, plasticote will spray and get results in conditions that car spray would look crap. very easy to spray, very easy to touch up, overcoat etc etc, sprays well on top of a 240 grit quick flat, plastic based so fills minor imperfections very well, mines faded on the bonnet but think that was cos i got it wet and muddy before Id given it a couple of weeks to dry
Total cost approx £150 and so much easier than using my compressor and gun.

Hi Steve,
who makes this magic Plasticote paint??
Where can you get it from?
Your results look fantastic..............
stuntman:
Try a google search for PlastiKote or something along those lines
I've had it before from a website called RS components, I use the site alot for work, very reliable and next day delivery

It was seeing your car that inspired me to do mine and start this thread :D
In the end I just couldn't find a plasticote colour that I would be happy with (for 'I' read 'the wife' :? ). The inside of our garage door is a patchwork of silver, grey, 2 greens, orange and yellow.
In the end I have gone for a spray system and tangiers orange.
I am currently in the middle of replacing the boot floor and will probably get around to the respray over the Christmas break. Keep your eye on the link above; it should be good for a laugh as I've never sprayed before [-o<
