Ropey springs??

<< < (2/2)

Eightpot:
or it could be yellow/yellow/yellow/green  if I've got the spring upside down!

They have brown factory tags with handwritten codes - The main code sems to be IVO29734
There is a german manufacturers label underneath, but just says its a coil spring    :-k

They are  very heavy rating I would guess - if I stand my 14 stone on top of one, it doesn't deflect.   At all.

L90OOK:
Sorry...I can't help you  :(

anaxemurderer:
How many coils have they got?

Nick

Eightpot:
They've got seven, very thick, coils.

Range Rover Blues:
That's why they are so short, the spring rate is higher so at rest they won't deflect much.

You could file the neds flat safely but don't use a grinder as the heat build-up will damage the springs.

If you want to know the spring rate you need to rest your trucxk on top of one and measure the deflection.

Remeber they will also get softer with use.

I know it's a PITA but you need to try them to know if they are any good.
