31x10.5x15 tyres on rangie what do you think

(1/1)

MUSKIE:
i had 235x70x16 g/claws on rangie which were lovely, then went to 265/75x16 g/claws, i found the later far to noisy and a tad too big it also made the car feel unstable on the road, this time i am going to try 31x10.5x15 which are an inch smaller than the later but an inch bigger than previous, i am also choosing the amazon patterned tyre (not bronco) as its more than ample for me, i was quoted £440 delivered for five on white 8 spokes today.

anyone here use this size on there rangie and can give me any tips/bad points before i buy.

Xtremeteam:
thats pretty much the same size as 750/16's i think,my dad had 2 bash the spare wheel well a bit to clear & trim an inch off the front & rear wings around the arch for it to clear when articulating on lock cos otherwise it makes itself fit by bending the wings   ,on that rangie it didnt matter 2 much about the body work cos it was just used for trialing

muddyweb:
They are wider than a 7.50

You might get problems with the bodywork depending on how flexible your suspension is.

MUSKIE:
i have 2" lift and will mod arches anyway before fitting, are 265 size narrower or wider than 10.5.

muddyweb:
About 0.1" narrower... so probably not noticably different
