fueling problem

can any one out ther tell me where the fuel line on a 300tdi disco runs as i herd a clunk from under the drivers side about midway down the body and about 3 miles later the engin stoped with no fuel at the filter so im thinking ive thrown something up from the road and hit the fuel line pinching it ???? 1 in a million i know but goto check

It runs along the chassis rail on the drivers side, but I think it is on the top.  Have a look just forward of the rear axle on the drivers side, inside of the chassis rail.  The fuel sedimentor is there.
