Engine oil for a 1958 S1

Banstock:
Hi could anyone tell me the recomended or the best oil to use in my S1 (1958)

Try the 20/50 Historic Motor Oil from Halfords

Les Henson:
I used straight 30 in a 1951 S1. The engine is a 2-litre spread  bore.

I went for the historic oil from halfords only £14.00 And it came in a very smart 5ltr tin can :)
