Let's see.

Education, education, education:  nope.  Schools are funded the same as they were 10 years ago, without any adjustment for inflation, so in real terms that's a lot less money then.  And now students have to pay for the privilege of going to university, so it's often only those who ARE privileged who do.  And in what way is this not a very right-wing idea exactly?

War:  well, we got one, because we decided to invade another country, on the basis of a made-up justification of a threat which never actually existed.  We turned an evil dictatorship which wasn't a direct threat to us, into an evil anarchy which is a hotbed of terrorists.  And we annoyed most of the world in the process.  Way to go, Tony, what a really spectacularly good bit of politics that was.

Prisons:  all of a sudden the government's surprised because they're running out of prison space.  And in what was is that not an entirely predictable occurrence that could and should have been dealt with as a matter of routine, months or years before it came to a head?

And don't even get me STARTED on spending a billion pounds on the Millennium Dome.

I will never really understand how a government can be - well - not so much incompetent, as dangerously negligent - and in the end the PM leaves of his own accord.  If it was up to me, he'd be in prison, not in retirement.  Says a lot about the opposition really.
