Horn 'push' stalk on steering column

(1/2) > >>

age:
I've traced an intermittent lack of noise to the stalk - if you pull it back to flash the lights the horn works fine, but without pulling it back usually dead silence!

Is this a serviceable item or just bite the bullet and replace - if available???  Any ideas appreciated - Age

Timbob:
Mine was a bit of both, a number of push on wires that can come loose. Got to be worth a go?

Litch:
The cost of the stalk varies depending on what year the vehicle is but even then they aren't too expensive (between £15 & £28). If you don't manage to fix it or just don't fancy taking it apart a new replacement is quick & easy to fit.

Blimey after 18 years and 272,000 mine has just started doing the same     just ordered a brand new one!! 8)

Its obviously the season for it!  At that price I think I'm off to Dingocoft.....Its just the 3D jigsaw getting the cowl off round the steering column I dread........  Cheers chaps.  A.
