D.I.Y Snorkel - I'm going for it! (any advice welcome!)
redhand:
Just wanted to say that 135deg and 45deg is the same elbow just reversed direction. In case anyone is trying to find one and can't.
stuntman:
Haha, I should have realised that, doh!
And just to say, I'll post some pics of how I attached the snorkel top to the pipe, as you need to hack saw the beaded edge down and it will be a nice snug fit inside the mushroom, then jubilee clamp it up and away you go :)

most common cause is the water dump valve...

I'd thought of testing my Southdown and basically just held a piece of paper up to the intake and made sure it stayed there (on the Southdown air can still get in round the sides if that makes sense...the intake is not flat). Although probably not a good enough test!
Intrigued by your "stall it" idea, although I might put a quick call in to Dave at Southdown first to make sure that the flexi will recover! Where is this water dump valve by the way?
Thanks!

remove the plastic scoop of the stainless pipe and put your hand over it
the pipe will recover, mine does

Chris Putt:
Where do you get a 45 degree angle? I cant find one anywhere, (Homebase, travis perkins, plumb centre, buildbase)
The final piece of the puzzle!!!
Chris
Disco_Stu:
