It pays to change...
Boggert:
I have been with the same insurance company for some 7 years..
Any how it come to insure the Terrano again and I was a bit taken back by the quote, normally no one could beat them!! But this time it seemed high..
So I logged on and had a look after an hour of quotes, I managed to save £130
Well my insurance company wouldn't price match so they lost my business.
I thought insurance went down not up with no claims!!
sleeplessparadise:
johnty did two quotes earlier in the year when we bought a D2, he did one with and one without his no claims and it was cheaper without the no claims! It's all a big con IMHO :x
Bob696:
My usual broker want £950 with to go with one underwriter. Used another broker, they used the same underwriter and it was £295 for better cover. Madness.
Drift:
Not looking forward to my next quote, vandels wrecked and wrote off one car last year and my Mrs wrote off her car on Monday (her fault) oh what joy insurance time is going to be
narked:
Ah yes, that wonderful bit in the phone conversation where they say "And how much did that claim cost Mr Brown?". It sounds so much better saying just the one car was a write off than saying "£3800".
Still, on the plus side, one of the locals managed to write off his nearly-new L200 and a couple of other reasonably new cars due to not hitting the brakes quick enough, £20k+ claim on that one!
