I bought the £3 kit for the disco, tipped the bits out on the table and thought twice!
I got my entire arm off but it was damn hard work. I beat the thing for about 20 minutes, gave up then thought I would give it one last go. A few gentle taps and it just fell off.
Still looked easier than trying to put that joint together. Having said that, I didnt have the handy pic thats just been posted!
My advice, stay open minded! Try getting the arm off, if you cant then buy the kit.

Try your luck getting the arm off.
I undid the big nut on mine and the arm just fell off.
