200tdi wont start???? any ideas
dave_2A_2.25Turbo:
I've ended up with a flat battery a couple of times (really MUST get a new one) and have te same thing with the Clifford on mine - if I disconnect the battery for a minute and then reconnect, it usually cures it (have had to do it a couple of times on the odd occasion)
whitewolf:
Ok, another new battery installed ( bigger )....and still SFA
HELP, anyone
snezza69:
My advice is stop buying knackered vehicles. Just cos their cheap!!!!!!!
LOL.
No seriously, if you do need some bits, then let me know!
bilge rat:
have you checked all the leads, iff ya a set of jump leads run one straight from the batt negative straight to the starter body (earth) see iff it makes a difference, then try on the live side from the pos side of batt, bit more tricky but this will illiminate all the batt leads and earth faults iff you have any, iff your sure you have full about 14 volts at the starter bridge the small terminal to the live . engine should spin over so watch your fingers. iff it does then its relay side of fault . see how you get on . alan.....
Evilgoat:
Check leads and earth strap, check the feed to the starter solenoid too.
I lost radio, cig lighter and ingnition a few days back, bodged/old age in imobliser wiring. Removed the damn thing, turns out the alarm shared a feed with that lot. I've managed to take out the fuse by knocking the cheap ciggie plug on the CB too.
I've had bad batteries from a well know national auto spares chain, 3 in a row on the Orion.
