Number Plate Stickers

<< < (2/4) > >>

Terranosaurus:
They have to be the proper reflective type not just any old bit of white vinyl and the numbers have to be right too, though of course they also have to have been fitted prior to the date the new rulings came in about plates but they all were weren't they?????

BigSi:
Any comment's from our 'Boys in Blue'?  :)

GREENI:
I don't have one at all....
If they're sneaky enough park in lay-bys..
I'm sneaky enough not have one....
Motorbikes don't...why should we ???

Lord Shagg-Pyle:
all number plates have to conform to the British Standard, namely letters and reflective backing, with makers name and postcode on it.
I personally don't have a problem with stick on front plates, but then I ma fairly laid back about most things.
Some of my more 'enthusiastic' traffic brethren may think differently. The plates are there for a reason to enable easy identification if the vehicle is used in crime or involved in an accident. The more cynical of you will say for easier identifying by the Government roadside revenue collection boxes. On that I couldn't possibly comment one way or the other
As for now front plates on bikes; I think it comes down to the duplicity of the Construction and Use regs, namely having no protruding or sharp edges on the vehicle likely to cuase injury :?
vehicles don't tend to be sharp or pointy, but still cause horrendous injuries if they hit something.

BigSi:
This makes for interesting reading!
