Old Warthog:
Its a Terrano R3M, currently on EBlag. Looks quite an interesting vehicle, 89 Reg. Anyone know anything about them?
(Sorry I can't work out how to link the item!)
Me, computer illiterate? - Nah, just illiterate
Cheers

Jonathan M:
Terrano R3M
The Terrano R3M was the "original" Terrano, sold as the Pathfinder IIRC in north america - but might not be right on that one. The engine is the classic and bombproof 2.7 as fitted to later Terrano 2's, Lonon taxi's, & even retrofitted to Landy's!!
Part time 4wd system.
It is an import, I think all R3m's in the UK are? But generally they are sturdy, if a bit more basic than later models. Interestingly they seem to have a bit more in the way of aftermarket kit eg suspension lifts etc, due to a wider global popularity.
Try Nissan 4x4 Owners Club for more specific R3M information.

Yep your right Jonathan they are all imports & in the US they are Pathfinders
Old Warthog:
I had a chat to the guy who owns it and worked out his km for him. Its done 192,000 miles! I've got to say it looks in very good condition for the age/mileage. He said he done a lot of work on it, plus spending most of its life in Japan.
Surprised that nobody seems to have made a bid on it.
Cheers

Bit late to add my bit but I've got an R3M-r thats a 95 model and although I've yet to try it offroad its a great car onroad. Its quite a pokey engine that even my wife is surprised at compared to my old 2.8td pajero and has an interior that feels alot like a car with a very comfy driving position.
My wife and I are very happy so far but if there's anything else you want to know hopefully I'll be able to help.
