Guardian.:
what are all these racks made off?
ive made a couple to peoplpes spec out of steel, and just think they arefar to heavy, are the safety devices ally, or are they mainly steel.

tonka toy:
there is special nuts that you can get that have a special tool lick a locking wheel nut.

the nuts cost £1 each and the tool is £12 because it is patented.

you can get them from oec4x4.com

gimpy:
I got hold of a genuine G4 safety devices low level rack as Bully's complete with lights and it cost £350.
It is made completely from steel tubes and took four men to lift it in place.
THe Warn lamps retail at over £100 each, it does look good but the only thing is you have to remove the roof bars as it is only 50mm above the roof.
Sad thing is SD no longer make the racks so they are expensive. I was offered 650 for mine but said no.
If you contact Mark @ Discoparts he has one that he might be selling.

landroverkeith:
mines a safety devices highlander rack too looks the biz i think like bulli said keep watching ebay i didnt pay as much as him for mine though    bloke wanted rid

Blakey:

--- Quote from: "Bulli" ---lol, you should say hello!!

they are a fortune new if you keep an eye on the for sale or ebay they do come up. I paid £400 for it used.

The least of my worries is the roofrack being nicked as it currently has the roof tent on it.
