Vintage Car... or Land Rover?

It's funny that the 200Tdi took allot more abuse than the others too...seem to remember wheel bearing probs with that too  :-s
You can't really say that the 101 was justly treated...5 Tonnes dragging itself around Africe isn't normal wear & tear...more like destructive testing  :twisted:  :roll:

Well, there were 4 new wheel bearings, plus a new gearbox and steering box, but I didn't think they were worth mentioning...  Given it was fairly high-mileage I can sort of understand that.  It's a new head at 92,000 miles that I find galling.  And all the problems I had with the P38 at about 80,000 miles.

That's a fair point, but I had a grand's worth of repairs to it and a week in the garage before I'd even got out of Spain!

I can see where you are coming from.
The 4.6 Thor engine slipping bore liners at 80,000miles...Td5 blowing head gasket at 92,000miles...LR sure know how to make them! :?
The funny thing is you get a vehicle sorted then sell it on to some lucky person  :lol:
How long is the Disco going to last :roll:
