DERV DOCTOR ....USE WITH CAUTION....

--- Quote from: "Devon-Rover" ---Pardon me for being thick but....
Wasn't the idea for a dump valve meant to be used in turbocharged petrol engines where the excessive boost from the turbo upstream of a throttle butterfly would cause them to bend? So a dumpvalve was used to remove the extra pressure from the system so to prevent damage?!
AFAIk a Diesel works on an WOT (wide open throttle) so there is no throttle butterfly just the pump which controls the amount of fuel entering the engine. So therefore the need for a dump valve is entirely superfluous. :?

An the lag issue as Rolla mentioned. I dont t5hink there is really much point on an engine like this though :) Still each to their own, Audi bleeds off into the exhaust so I get PTCHHHH crackle crackle.
shaun and co:
ive used derv doctor before and also was very unimpressed. in fact now i come to think of it im still waiting for the instructions and fuel pump settings that i got bored with chasing after repeated broken promises.
would definately never touch again with a brown stick.
