Best way of cleaning intercooler 300tdi

what will be the fluid that will no doubt end up all over my drive if I take the intercooler out? My disco has done 184k miles so will prob be a good thing to do is clean it, then not get it back together or break a nut or something!! :lol:

Darren, thanks for that excellent link. where can i get the blanking plate from?

:lol: In regard to the blanking plate, I put a two pence in mine.  I had to take the file to the edge a bit, but in it popped and hey presto, a perfomance mod for two pence. 8)  8)
