breather pipes??

(1/2) > >>

NIVAD:
Wont to raise my breather pipes on my discovery 300tdi auto.

Found axle ones but where are the transfer box and gearbox located
?

auf_wiedersehen_pet:
I've been raising mine with one of Wizard's breather manifolds. Axles are obvious but could not find others.

Whilst on a different job, found two breathers (identified with curved tops) emerging out of the gearbox tunnel into the engine bay on the NS. They are tuckedwell down behind water bottle and engine.

Not sure which is which but in due course I will extend them too.

Jake:
The gear box and transfer box breathers run up the front of the bulkhead.
The timing case will need a breather fitted to it.
You can buy a new plate as part of a kit or just buy some small breather push fittings and adapt your current plate.
Push fittings avalible from leading 4x4 stockists.
 :D

NIVAD:
push fitting is what im doing.

i thought the timing case was just pluged off along with gearbox when wading didnt think you had to fit a breather

thermidorthelobster:
If you're a tightwad like me, push-fit breather extensions are also available from all good aquarium shops and garden centres for next to nothing.  :D
