--- Quote from: "POTASH" ---i get asked about the snorkel, why do you have the exhaust that high, and a little lad said to his dad why has it got a chimney.

It surprised me how often I get asked that with the Dakar...

I heard somewhere...or read somewhere... that wires were only legal if factory fitted... ie, to early camels ? Does that sound right ?... legislation being what it is they are all probobly illegal now... even on green lanes, which, of course, are mostly liable to the same laws as any road...

Shame I can't justify having them on mine as they do look good....

Legal or no, I pity the poor pedestrian who steps out in front of you and loses a limb to them.  Aren't you tempted to take them off when not off-roading, for safety's sake?  Also you may find you're invalidating your insurance.

The whole "pedestrian friendly" thing leaves me completely confused.  Surely the safest things is for the stupid lemmings to look before stepping out in front of 2 tonnes of Land Rover bearing down on them?

Cherry Bomb:

--- Quote from: "wizard" ---Your right, everything that even remotely looks like a 4x4 is called a Jeep,
Its a pity that they group a classic vechile Like land Rover in with all the other rubbish !!

(Surely you meant to say..... an inferior copy of the original?)
