Rear shocks
Range Rover Blues:
Let's face it any half decent brand will improve the handling when fitted, they're new after all but it's how long they stay like that! I have ProComp but I find them a little hard and would prefer DeCarbon like my steering damper, there are others I'm sure who would tell you the opposite.
The there are Bilstein, if wallet permits, and I have never been dissapointed with them on any other car so I think you'd be alright on a Disco.
The only warning I can offer is that monroe, whilst being a good damper, tend to suffer a similar fate to your old damper in that the loop for the upper fixing tends to give way. You could of course weld it properly yourself before fitting!
Above all I'd advise you try to keep the front and rear balanced, so fit dampers that match the front ones.
Sooty:
I've got yellow ones on mine  .
