DIY full paint jobs

(1/7) > >>

spy:
Just wondered how many people on here have painted their own 4x4?  I have brush / roller painted a few series 3's that all looked reasonable at the end but obviously not perfect. Here is the 1st one I did a few days after it was finished.  Probabaly looks better in the pics than the flesh!

Anyone got any pics of ones they have done.  Did you spray or hand paint it?  Anyone done one with cans?

Cheers,

Mike

hobbit:
I can spray military matt paint fairly good, too much practice in the past

Not done a lot of gloss for a while, but got a couple of motors to do soon, so looks like I will get some practice, probably do the inside of the tub first, wont show so much if I screw it up :)

marjan:
This is my brush attempt, didn't turn out too bad. Used coach paint - brilliant and very hard wearing.

jjsaul:
Hand painted with a tin of tekaloid and a brush in about 2 hrs...didn't look too bad until i abused it with a weeks hard offroading in woodland 3 days later...

Mareng:
This was done over a windy weekend in a dusty and draughty hangar using a cheap spraygun setup that I found lurking in a corner

Stickers and c/plate over the dodgy bits and it dont look too bad now
