auto free wheel hub display light

Hoppie:
After Sundays play in the mud at Salisbury my auto free wheel hub display light stays on and wont go off.
The 4wd and 2wd are engaging and disengaging ok .
so i start up go to pull off the light comes on  ive reversed to disengage hubs that works but the light is just staying on
i think the sensor is covered in mud or something so could any one tell me where the sensor is :?:

this is on a Pajero mk1 1990 2.5 cross mk2  :lol:
