Interior Lighting

Bush Tucker Man:
On a similar vein to Dreadnoughts BWSOW LED thread, hasanyoen fitted them as extra interior lights in a 110CSW?
I was thinking of perhaps recessing some in the mouldings above the doors/sliding windows.

But, also as a simple alteration, how much difference do LEDs make in the standard units??

dreadnought110:
Funny you should mention that had LEDS in the land rover for years they aren't as bright as normal 21w bulbs etc but give any 5w interior lights a run for there money oh and i've fitted them in a 12v flourecent light in the back so you have dim and bright!! 8)  8)

I like the effect of that.  Maplins do some LED strips sold by the meter - hmmm, I'm getting some ideas from this...   :D

AbyssDJ:
i've been in iains landy.. the lights work well :) another option would be cold cathode tubes... the kind of thing you get in some computer cases. obviously, they run off a 12v supply, so wiring the inverter into a vehicle would be easy stuff.

im gonna do something with ours when i can be bothered. it doesnt even have an interior light anymore at the moment ;)

danielh89:
i have LED lights in my series (was gunna do the sam in my 110 but thats another story) the ones i have came fome IKEA   20 pounds for 4 round units you can simply glue or screw to you landy :D
they come with a transformer for houshold use but chop the plugs off and they run on 12v so are fun in any 12v vheicle.

i will sort out a picture tommorow sometime :P
