Suspension and tyres--Its ready for Mud now
Skibum346:
I have 235/70's on and on extreme articulation they catch the rear of the rear wheel arch. In the main it's fine but you may benefit from a small camel cut on the rear arches to prevent body damage.

235/70 is listed in the drivers handbook as standard size so they should require no mods.
My 245/70's went straight on, no mods required
Ja1983:
...suck it and see!
if your lucky enough to have something sturdy enough to drive up this will tell you where and if your close, dont forget in the sticky stuff you could easily pick up a big stone.clump of solid material that would contact... so a bit of breathing room may help just to be on the safe side
landroverkeith:
i had 235 70 r 16s road tyres as standard fitted to mine from factory or lr alloys
since then ive changed to 235 70 r 16s colway MT`s on 8 spokes and yes they fit without a lift. only caught my front bumper cos the silly bracket was bent and pushed back.
since then ive put a 2" lift on and 235 70 r16 looks too small now lol
NIVAD:
cheers ill take a close look as offroad tyres always have more rubber than road tyres...
See ya soon in the MUD.
Yes GAV Niva still in use when not broken...
