« on: August 17, 2007, 20:14:28 »
I'm looking at a fitting a heavy duty bumper (possibly a Tubular one), so it possible on a 300tdi to fit a winch as i want to keep my air con?

I should think so, they do exist with the winch sat ahead of the grille.  What about a removable one? keeps you pedestrian friendly, thief unfriendly and won't increase the front axle loading.

Try the place in the link.... i had one of their wrap around bumpers for a while, it stuck out too far for my purposes, but from memory i seem to think he said it stuck out that far to cater for vehicles with air con.....

gone from 200tdi.... to 300tdi... still with loads done to it, in fact, even more than the last truck...LOL!!!

I do like the look of that bumper that wraps around the wings, just with carriage it works out around £100 more than the guardian one and like most folk i'm on a tight budget with being poor  :-({|=

you can have a disco 300tdi winch bumper, you just ask for an aircon version, as they say the winch section sits more forwards so the winch is up against the grill, as opposed to chopped grill and in / behind it.

I have a Scorpion Racing bumper with a Warn 9.5 XP on a 300 with aircon, the whole lot came off my 200 without aircon. I know it's not the bumper you want but it does show that certain ones will fit no problem.

looking at that pic an ordinary tight winch bumper might do the job anyhow, im not sure where the rad for aircon is, but i think from memory it is mounted up top of grill and doesnot hang all the way down, so standard would do, or at worst have to move a couple of hoses.
have a butchers, as its been a while since ive actually looked at one!
