tim_aka_tim:
The what button? Typo?

Do you mean the transmission power/comfort button?

hrox:
Ditto   Can you confirm the spelling on the button.

cherokee sliders:
it has comfort  next to it thanks spannerman sun

hrox:
if its a diesel i should imagine its to control and with hold the engine like a pajero 2.8td.   Hold would mean that when it comes to a hill it stays in gear to let the torque of the engine do the pulling where as power means it will go all the way through the rev range to 4 or 5k rpm and there for using the gears when you hit a hill by dropping a gear for the higher revs.

but could be rong.
