Disco 1 cruise control, bit missing ?
« on: August 10, 2007, 21:23:09 »
can anyone let me know if i'm missing a bit from my cruise control.

Discovery 1 (1995) N registered ES Auto 3.9 V8i model, (NOT the one in the avatar)

Right, fuses ok, button lights up, but i heard a rumor that it works with a tube which is located behind the left hand headlamp.

where my jack goes (no jack with car, so if anyone has one for sale, let me know), there is a black air tube that has nothing on the end of it, it seems to come from behind the air filter somewhere.

Also, there is a round plug (electrical) from the loom, which also has nothing attached,

Is this the cruise control bits and if so, whats missing ?

Thanks in advance
Gary.
it's a mud thing............you wouldn't understand !!

Lok at the throttle linkage and follow the cables back, one will terminate at a vacum servo. this is the cruise controll servo, on the back is a vacum hose that I found had split on mine at the spigot.

Might be worth replacing the full lengh of hose.
