I bought a jar of marmalade on Sunday and there is no more golly,my gingerbread man is now a gingerbread person and you may be sued for selling 'fairy' cakes,i believe this is political correctness.

It gets my back up on so many counts, I cant even be bothered to discuss it any more.
As far as I see, its the way the country is going. To moan about it and not do owt would be two faced, so Ive quit moaning about it. Ive not got time to try to become PM, so I guess Im gonna have to put up with it........
Such is life.

--- Quote from: "Edge" ---The country is a joke.... (what happened to freedom of speech)... If i dont like a certain type of person race/religion/age etc, i should be able to say so.

i do say so, call me racist if you like (wich seams to happen a hell of a lot when in an argument with an asian person or black person) but on the other hand i also no a few asian and black people that are sound and i have never had any trouble with them. so if i dont like someone i will tell them and they can call me racist all they like, i realy dont care  :D

Its true of most contries. A condition of becomming a landed immigrant often entails proving that you can integrate with their society. Having been through this I can vouch that it applies to Canada and the States too

*Waves Canadian passport*

Sadly I'm not proud to be British anymore, I use that passport when I can rather than my UK one. I'm ashamed of my country and most of what it stands for. Ashamed of this 'roll over and give in to anyone' mentality of our government. While we have to fight for the right to use ancestoral rights of way that as citizens we should be allowed to use, the monority get special rules made up to protect their rights and they didnt even grow up here and its out rights and way of life that suffers. I feel so strongly about it and like Rolla I've just had enough.

I went to Canada and even comming from here I had to jump through hoops, not only prove I can get a job, but prove I wont displace a Canadian Citizen and that I was qualified to do that job. I was then treacked for a year doing that job and told if I left it I need to start over. I had to prove I could live there without any issues and integrate with the rest of the residents and even had to speak french (gah! bloody Quebecois). After two years I got called back and then had to jump through more hoops to get the Citizenship. The difference? Yes Calagary has a huge Oriental and Asian population but its nothing like it is over here where the PC has caused so many deep divides. People just get on with and and persons race and colour really dont matter...

Unless you are British at which point your accent is the source for months of amusement until it fades :)
