To be honest what you feel like doing (and I know Boggart and LSP could not recommend or condone this and neither am I) is tipped the bike on its side and removed the fuel cap and oops I have dropped the match I was lighting my ciggy with.

One must attempt to remember that one is an english gentleman and as such there are constraints upon ones behaviour, one must remain calm even in the face of adversity. For instance it would have been wrong to threaten the offender with having to need surgery to remove bits of his motorcycle from his body cavity.
Still it's done now would be shocked to hear more back from the police.
