the ACR system was mild steel and rotting pretty badly where the rimmer one is stainless.

So philbert did you notice a power increase when u fitted the ACR manifold? mpg? Have you any other engine mod's?
Cheers for any info thinking bout going 200 Tdi but would like to stay classic!

There was a good write up in one of the mags several years ago using a full ACR head, SU carb exhaust etc etc and the results were very impressive.... unfortunately had a big clear out of all my mags by order of SWMBO so dont have it anymore...sorry

the old bus has a flowed and ported head , new rimmer sports system (at least as good as the acr one),an acr su conversion and a rocky mountain dizzy.

go really rather well.with rangie diffs does more than 80mph with pretty good acceleration to match only downside is the fuel consumption if used in anger!

next step is to fit a tdi
same power , more torque and 35-40mpg and it runs on veg oil only down sides are the noise and the fact i need to cut and weld my galvied chassis.
