my disco went into the garage today for an m.o.t every thing went ok but they did throttle it to death any way after they finished i went in the office to get my paper work and wen i came out to drive off i had no throttle i mean you put your foot down and it would pick up very slowly wilst chucking out plenty off white and blue smoke so i cracked the fuel filter bleed nipple off and i slowly got some power back but on the way home she was very lumpy any ideas wot it could be i did drop the tank 3 weeks ago but been driving it around since then

sorry forgot that bit its a 300tdi m reg if that makes any differance

it might be the head gasket... that could cause the white smoke if its got coolant in it, and the blue smoke will be oil. might be worth a check, unless someone comes up with a better idea
