I brought mine because i wanted a 4x4 but not a Land Rover and there cheap as chips.

I would sell it usually after i break it but you could not afford it.

I would change it for another 4x4 but have to be another SJ.

I just love the looks you get its like a mini monster truck.

Thanks,

why did u buy suzuki? because it was cheap to buy, run and mod

wud you change if you could? i wanted a lada niva, but the parts are so hard to get a hold of, thats why i got my vit. i wouldnt mind something a little bigger. i quite like swb pajeros in a 2.8td. also, i like g-wagons, there ugly [!Expletive Deleted!] but you dont see enough of them offroading. i also like isuzu troopers, mostly because my dad use to have one and it was a lovely car

Our vit is cheap to mod & repair, we had so much fun and because they're so cheap they can be abused without too much damage to the wallet  :D  missus drove it through a lake and we never laughed so much with the vit full of water ... but it just kept on going

Because I had one once in Canada on holiday instead of the usual Cyrsler Stratus/ ford ranger. Mate got his 98 ranger hopelessly stuck and I tugged it out with a wrecked 95 tracker (Pontiac version of the vit) running on 2 1/2 cyliners and just drove it till it self destructed.

wud you change if you could?

I say I will, and maybe I'll get an RRC one day as its the only one of the green oval family I really like. The other would be the P38a but have heard too many horror stories. Might change it for a Paj

if so why if not why not?

It squeeks
It grinds
It vibrates
It breaks
It has bricks for springs
Its tiresome to drive at times
It leaks
It has the onroad performance of an asthmatic badger

but for some reasion, its just so much fun! :)
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Originally chose my Vitara as an upgrade from a very uncomfortable Samurai. Main reason was price as I got it for £800 off Ebay but I think I may have to desert you all and buy a Defender 90 next year. (or a JEEP if someone wants to give me a wad of cash   ).

Reason is that I am sick of breaking diffs & driveshafts, the Vit just isn't strong enough in the drive train for the stuff I want to do. Don't get me wrong as a green laner they are fantastic and very comfortable but not much good for Pay & Play days in quarries as I'm sure I will discover again at Kirton this Sunday  :D .

I bought mine because i was 17 and it was me first car, not cheap insure tho but mor fun than a corsa or fiesta. The only reason i would change it is because of distance to my new job and that it brakes down alot.

I bought my GV as i wanted a cheap, reliable car i could do some easy back lanes in.

Biggest mistake i ever made!

Exhaust runs right along the bottom of the car and catches on everything! The front diff is aluminium, i mean come on for gods sake!!!

The car is crap off road and nothing compared to even a freelander!

I ended up buying a 15 year old Disco for 1K and that was awsome!

I hear that some are good off road but am not sure from my experience (admittidly ltd!)

I mean who puts a aluminium diff casing on anything that goes off road!

We got the Vit as we had to combine a few things.
A cheap and small runner for the wife and something we could use for fun (i.e Green Laning when we get the chance )
If we break the Vit when laning she can use my weekend car until it is fixed but it aint a 'use every day' car :P

Would we change it? Not yet...not had it long enough and not done anything in it yet

Just to pee off the Landrover drivers when their un-stoppable "best 4x4 by far gets stuck I don't. Seriously - I didn't want to become a Landrover clone.

Ive been offroading for around 40+ years had every make thats out there except for Merc g wagon, owned a sj413, 2  Vits, and a Jimny,my ideal Zuk would be a Vit with SJ leaf springs broke both my Vits diffs so chuck in some Hi lux axles the 1600 lump is a tad breathless so add a GV2000cc lump and there we have it my ideal Zuk, i am about to ditch my Landy 90 and Disco and buy another Jimny because fuel prices road tax ins etc have become so pricey,so i am soon to be a Zuk man again, ;)
