lurch_917:
could any one tel me how easy it is to fit a stearing gard do the legs go outside the chassis rail or inside

simon15:
Its relativey straight forward.

unbolt the bumper bolts and steering arm bolt. place inside chassis legs and push the bolts back through to hold it then tighten them all up.

lurch_917:
thanks didnt know if it went inside the chassis or out side as mines a three part didnt want to put the uprights on the wrong side and have to start again

simon15:
not sure on a 3 piece one.

best bet is to line the plate up underneath and see roughly where the uprites site in relation to the legs

As simon says, it's a matter of trial and error some may be different to others. You may have to remove the existing towing eye too. It's no great shakes though. Get underneath with the parts offer them up and see where they fit. Another pair of hands will help whilst you fettle it into place.

Picture please when it's done
