disco truck.
mentalmoshio sophs V8i:
boss i was a little concerned about the height of ur air filter it looks a little to keen to take a drowning from slashing in bomb holes and cross axle wadeing
boss:
i am constantly receiving grief from my old chap about this, i maintain it will be finedue to displacement of air from the cab while the truck is moving forward.......but then again it doesn't take much to move it around as its only Alli tubing and hoses. i think its a much better attempt than some of the other home made snorkels i have seen. it will be thoroughly tested in 14 days! counting it down and going a bit nuts! sooo much work to do! and STILL need a trailer!
Jake:
As long as all the hose clamps are done up nice and tight, there's no reason why they'd be a problem with it :D
Behind the cab is a proven design
They are just a bit noisy in the cab
:D

hahahaha
do you mean like this?
jay, it has to be "done" for the 10 of June....then it will receive a damn good thrashing around the farm to test the limits and maby a painting session with all the people that have helped then I'm of to the B.L.R.C event on the 13Th
forgot to mention this but i need a winch
there is a dick in the B.L.R.C (who will remain nameless) who thinks i cant make it around the course because "Ive lifted it and it ll fall over" well i hate being told what i cant do and want to show him up! he is entering the winch challenge there in his stock ish 90....i want to [throw it] him off! i am pretty confident that i can beat him (points wise) just need a winch and still allot of work to do.
and yes jay, i am thinking of putting the clusters back in....bit of a step back but it does look allot better. unfortunately i have given one of the clusters away so Will have to go to a breakers and get one, maby some door skins at the same time!
anyone want to be generous and donate some parts???

Yup, that's the way - I remember you did that earlier on but wasn't sure if you were planning to stick with it. They're a lot easier to deal with there than in the boot of a normal Disco!
boss:
noise doesn't bother me! you haven't heard my exhaust    also got my eye on a dump valve .
Jake, how long until this hybrid turbo for the d2 comes out from D44??? my dad is itching for one and i may "acquire" the monster Garrett from his disco when hes done!
i think the point made about the filter is if it gets covered in mud, i am still running the air filter in the air bin so i can just take it off and use a mushroom top if there are any problems i want to remove the big cleaner but i have no hose clips to insure the tubing is all air tight and there is a drainage thing on the air bin that must go....or at least be sealed up. only time will tell.
