My lip is much worse that in the picture above, the only pic I have is



But as you can see there isnt much left.  Lots of the other lip will probabaly come off once I get around to seeing how good it is.  What if I just rivvet it to the cross members then put a nice big seam weld all the way round to the side panels but above the lip if that makes sense?

PS have u seen some of those ebay prices?  Some reasonable ones as well but some are £200!!!

i recently fitted my floor too there was no lip left so i just welded the thing to side pannels its not my best job just hope it passes the m.o.t (moment of truth) hope fully to get booked in for this saturday

the boot floor is not structual so not part of the mot....although you do have seat belt mounts that go through the floor. i riveted my floor in and never had any problems with the mot man.....

i would say there is no problem with running a seem weld around the new floor.after all it will hold the new floor in and stop water and mud getting in   :wink:
