Wandery steering

Just (finally) got my disco home, the steering seems very wandery at the moment, is this simpy a disco thing or is it like every other landrover and probably wants polybushes putting on it?

having only driven a few discos on test drives and round the offroad course its isnt something I have noticed before?

When I first got my Disco it wandered all over the place and the passengers felt sea sick.  New shock absorbers all round cured it

Get your track rod ends, stering drop arm ball joint and panhard rod bush checked out. Could also be play in the steering box (can be adjusted out if it's not too far gone).

They are the usual suspects, plus tracking, tyre pressures etc.

Oh, has it been lifted?

Also worth checking that the drop arm is tight on the steering box. i fitted a recon box in minem and after 300 miles the arm was VERY loose!!!!!!!
