got to say safaris are solid- i slid my truck about twenty foot down a hill sideways and the snorkel was the first point of impact with the tree that stopped me! unfortunately i then slid round the tree and lost a wingmirror and put a nice big scar down the side of the truck. oh well but the snorkel is fine!!!

I like the idea of the home mdae one, something which I will go through and do on my series or what ever but for the disco it has to be an all complete one iif you know what I mean.

There is an argument that at least with the plastic Safari ones, the snorkel's likely to give before major damage is done to the rest of the truck.  That said, they seem pretty tough.  And they are very neat.  I've had 2.
