Some ideas please urgent
muddyjames:
the front wheel arch hasnt rusted away and so water gets sprayed up into the bay when in the wet and then the air end thingy is sucking up the water from there making it just enough to effect the lpg?
just a thought?
freelanderpx54:
Is the rubber dump valve (for the air box) that sits under the wing still in place?
gtomo2:
Thanks for the info. The inner wings are good had to replate them last year for the mot. Rubber drain is fine water is coming in through the airintake trumpet, Have put a small mod in place which is a cut down plastic beacker with part of the side cut off with the opening facing 45 deg towards the inner wing and its running ok now.
Range Rover Blues:
Make sure the air intake and filter are not blocked somehow as I'm guessing you are saying the LPG doesn't work becasue it's a draw-through system and the airflow is messed up somehow. Otherwise I'd be checking that the ignition side is up to scratch, LPG is harder to ignite.
wing nut:
graeme i had the same problem with my tdi ,all i did was pull the trumpet from out of the wing and turned inside the engine bay, sits nicely against the radiator, ive run through various depths(not too deep) and not managed to drown it ... all snorkled up from today now though
