What camera's are you running then :?:
I've got a Canon Eos 5 With VG10 grip + 28-105 Canon USM Mk2 lens and also a Sony DSC H2 digital SLR.
Are you both into your photography then :?: I used to work for Jessops for 5 years so picked up the bug there.
V8MoneyPit:
Mine's a Nikon D50 with 18-55 and 55-200 lenses.
My first job (ahem, a long time ago!) was in a camera and hi-fi shop. Bought my Nikon FM 35mm SLR then. Still have it nearly 30 years later and it works as well as it did then. Not sure the DSLR will last that long without breaking
I've always enjoyed photography, but let it slip for a few years when I had a point and shoot digital camera. But I missed being able to take photographs rather than snaps, if you know what I mean.
This was the very first picture I took with the D50 and was totally blown away by the colour saturation. OK, my depth of field was off, but it certainly got me back into photography!
cardiff_gareth:
True, the colours are amazing, I love the way digital can get so close to the subject, can make for some cracking abstracts
I hardly use my Canon anymore but looking to use it more as I'm a big lover of B/W and wanna get back into that side of things, maybe a S/H DSLR Canon body could be in order
My first camera was the Olympus OM10, with manual adaptor I'll quickly add
Took some cracking shots with. I bought the Sony as it was going dirt cheap, not a true DSLR as the len cannot be interchanged but it has every manual feature you could ever imagine on a SLR and also has a 38-420mm zoom
I think a new section could be in order, members photo's
mill2020:
My 1st camera was a OM10 with manual adaptor and power winder too.
A proper camera, I really miss it, but the D50 is pure class ( i have one too)
I'm just try to convince my better half i need another lens, lookin at a sigma at the mo 18-200, it seems to of had some good reviews.
I f anyone has other suggestions i'm all ears.
Phil
