hi guys and gals.....
i have changed the bearings on my disco drivers front wheel i have repaced the oil seals the spacer nut and lock nuts and also fitted a new stub axle but it keeps working loose any ideas!!!!!!!    :?:
wizard:
Did you tighten up the inner nut to the required torque ? and did you fold over two tabs on the "tab" washer.
One folds onto the inner nut and one folds outward onto the outer lock nut.

What exactly keeps working loose?
Sharpshooter:
Have the lock washers got the tab that dogs into the stub Axle? If they have, and they still work loose id be worried. This is most probably the cause. Is it only on the passenger side?
I would get some new ones and try that if not.
They are only 90p frommain dealer.
