I had that 200miles after I bought it the timing all went. the mechanic I took it to (also on here) rebuilt the crank keyway with chemical metal. Not going to say what it is like now incase I tempt fate but I think you know what I want to say!

I had a woodruff key snap last year and it took a chunk of the crank shaft with it. Once stripped I used chemical metal and a new key and when I rebuilt everything and torqued up the crank bolt i then welded along 3 flats of the bolt, not going anywhere now

I bought a few new keys and a timing pully from Bearmach.
Located the timing gear on the crank and tack welded the front key in place as this keyway was the one that was damaged.
I then ground the excess weld dowm with a Dremmel and took of the timing gear.
I filled the damaged keyway with weld and ground smooth, took out the key that i had welded in and re ground the keyway.
The crank pully that had a damaged keyway was then welded up and machined down, to a perfict fit.
The whole lot was then reassembled this morning.

A Dremmell must be the best tool in the world.
