help shoggy doesn't pull well

i've got a shogun 2.8 td it doesn'y pull the way it should, you don't really notice it until third gear onwards when i try to accelerate i can tell it wants to go but it feels like it's being held back, i've been told it's the air mass meter but getting one is another question

Start with a small service, Air filter,fuel filter, Genuine oil filter and new Oil.

Do the cheap things first, it none of them work then re-mortgage and prey.
