I've heard them barking in the forest at Langdale and other off road places, and often wondered what I need to do to my 200 to make it sound like that.
So what do I need to do?

Devon-Rover:
Straight through exhaust. no silencers nothing. Or if you want it a little more civilised i bellive you can add a TD5 tail pipe to a custom front section.

Ok then maybe a 2.8 is a little for fetched. I would go for a 200 with a decent turbo and moving the alt up to where the aircon pump would mount so to keep it away for 50% of the muck you nutters drive in.

Not too difficult then. I'm already half way there, taken the centre silencer out and put straight through pipe there. Just need to take the rear one out.
