rear prop

should there be play between the prop, and the selevee that fits on to the back of drum, if ya no what i mean.....the bit with the splines on.....

Not sure what a "Selevee" is? But my rear prop had no play whatsoever.... front prop had aprox quart of an inch play.

I'm guessing you mean the sliding joint on the propshaft itself.

If so, the answer is no, there shouldn't be excessive play. Are you getting vibration when driving?

If there is a lot of play, I don't think that there is any cure other than a new prop. Standard props are available at not too ridiculous a price from the usual suspects, but you are also well placed to see what Dave Mac can do for you.
