HELP.... Disco wouldnt turn off!!!!

Just popped down the shop and was fine but got home and turned it off and the engine kept running!!! :?  :?

all elecs turned off but engine wouldnt.. had to stall it  :o  :o


Any ideas i can check in the morning?

Take it its a diesel. you should have a wire that runs to the fuel regulater this controls the solinoid that cuts the fuel off make sure its on and has no voltage to it when the engine is off. If that is ok then it could be the solinoid sticking open. so that will be a new soliond time. iirc

thats ok then i thought it was elecs playing up again as this is how my rangie went before it caught fire  :shock:  :shock:

sounds like the fuel cut off solenoid is stuck open on the back of the injection pump or as gtomo says it may be the key switch isnt cuuting the live to the solenoid so it stays engaged

ill have a nose tomorrow and see.

is it still ok to drive though? supposed to be out doing a few lanes to see what its like :)
