It's Not Easy Being Green
Bush Tucker Man:
BBC 2 earlier this evening
I watched it when I got home from work.
Did I really see Dick Strawbridge fill up 'his'* 90 Td5 with bio-diesel.
It always seemed to be the case that Td5 injector systems aren't compatible with bio, hasn't it?
* Presumably a Land Rover 'press fleet' vehicle? Iwonder if he'll get a telling off over it if any execs watched the programme?
Skibum346:
If your talking about the episode whee he made his own bio...
As far as I know he traded in the family Audi for the defender... At least that's the way the programme sells it. Also... on their website, they say that the project is self funded and receives no monies from the producers.
Dunno about the injectors bit.

Cal:
That's what I thought as well Richard - it's part of the reason I would consider getting a 300Tdi next instead of a Td5 (when I can eventually get another landy!)
Maybe they're OK on a 5% mix?

No it was in last nights episode where the 3 of them (Dick, James & Jim) travel around helping others with their projects.
The 90 they bought ( after ditching the Audi) was a 'F' or 'G' plate Turbo
Diesel, as stated the one in this series is a Td5

I think we can assume that due to the premises he bought it from, that it was 100% bio
By The Way;
Is that short for Callum, or are you a John Steinbeck/James Dean fan?(East Of Eden)
Cal:
It's short for Callum.
